The melody by itself is an amazing piece of music and makes you feel really happy whereas once you know the lyrics it becomes quite depressing but doesn’t make it feel any less uplifting. It means about giving and appreciating what you are given instead of just looking at it and throwing it away so this person was given a heart to love and look after but the person just gave it away and the other person decided next year ill give it to someone who cares. In other words there is a meaning to this appreciate what you are given look after it and love it as if you don’t care it hurts someones feelings as they put effort into it. This song is such a great song. But the person is also saying that they loved the person so much that if the person tried to get back together with her she would probably give into that person even though she doesn’t want to. I heard this song on the radio this morning and my mom and I just started sing it. I have it stuck in my head now.
Last christmas I gave you my heart. We met when we were just children, and I gave him my heart. He told me we would be together after college, but he fooled me, left me, and that was 40 yrs ago when we were teenagers. That last christmas, he told me he would call me, but he just disappeared from my life with no explanation. He showed up on fb one day, sent me a message. He’ll fool me again, and I know the end of this. Write about your feelings and thoughts Know what this song is about?
